Soprano and Voice Teacher
Caitie Bryner is one of the up and coming professional sopranos in the opera world. She is a graduate from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s in vocal performance with Summa Cum Laude honors. She was recently accepted into the University of Utah masters program for vocal performance and will begin her graduate studies this fall. She has studied classical voice with Dr. Melissa Heath for the last five years, but also excels in musical theatre, belt and mix techniques.
Caitie has performed in the last eight opera productions at UVU in classic as well as contemporary productions. These included roles as Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor and Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest. She had the exceptional opportunity to be coached by the composer of The Importance of Being Earnest, Nicolas Giusti, in preparation for the role. She has had the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed soprano, Angel Blue as well as Deborah Voigt.
Caitie has been teaching voice for the last 6 years. Her teaching focuses not only on healthy and proper technique, but also exceptional musicianship skills. Using yoga methods and Alexander technique, Caitie teaches with a special focus on mind, body and voice connection, singing with vocal freedom without negative body tension.
Caitie’s repertoire list includes masterworks such as: “Ich folge dir gleichfalls” and “Zerfliesse mein Herze” from J.S. Bach’s St. John’s Passion, Samuel Barber’s Hermit Songs, multiple French melodies by Henri Duparc, songs by Florence Price, “Caro nome” from Verdi’s Rigoletto, Hugo Wolf’s Spanishches Liederbuch and Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 by Hector Villa-Lobos.

Voice Lessons
Awaken and enliven your voice with either a hour or half hour voice lesson with Caitie. Your lessons will have a focus on healthy vocal technique, artistry and musicianship. Caitie also specializes in using yoga and Alexander technique to reduce negative tension in the voice and increasing the mind body connection while singing.
